Korea Food Trading Ltd. (CEO Moon-Jae Kim), a leading Korean wholesale distributor, has announced the exclusive import and launch of ‘Bacchus,’ Korea's iconic energy drink, in Canada. Bacchus, a flagship product of the K-Drink category, is already immensely popular in Korea and internationally, boasting a reputation as a trusted energy booster. KFT plans to distribute Bacchus across Canada, starting with Galleria Supermarket, the largest Korean supermarket in Toronto.

In 2015, Bacchus became the first single pharmaceutical product in Korea to surpass annual sales of 200 billion KRW. By 2022, cumulative sales exceeded 22.6 billion bottles. To put it into perspective, if Bacchus bottles (approximately 12 cm tall each) were stacked end-to-end, they would circle the Earth 68 times (Earth’s circumference is approximately 40,000 km).

Bacchus is well-known for alleviating physical fatigue and aiding in conditions such as nutritional deficiencies, general weakness, and recovery from illness. Its main ingredient, taurine, has been shown to suppress beta-amyloid proteins and activate neuroglial cells in the brain, potentially addressing symptoms of memory decline and reduced cognitive function.

CEO Moon-Jae Kim of KFT expressed his enthusiasm for this launch, stating, “Through Bacchus, Korea's most iconic tonic, we aim to showcase the excellence of Korean products and establish it as Canada’s No.1 national energy drink. We are committed to introducing groundbreaking new products to the market in the future.”

The launch of Bacchus in Canada marks a significant step in bringing Korea’s most beloved energy drink to a new audience, solidifying its position as a global leader in the energy drink market.
