Frozen Oyster Seaweed Soup is a traditional Korean soup made with seaweed and oysters as the main ingredients. Seaweed is rich in dietary fiber and minerals, while oysters provide protein and zinc, helping to boost immunity and recover from fatigue. Using frozen oysters makes it easy to prepare, especially during the winter months when fresh oysters may be hard to find, making it a great option for busy days. Simply soak the seaweed, cook it with oysters, and you’ll have a delicious and healthy meal ready in no time.
Ingredients
200g Frozen Oysters, 40g Dried Seaweed, 800ml Water, 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
1 tablespoon Minced, 2 tablespoons Fish Sauce, 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce, Salt
How to make it
1. First, rinse the frozen oysters under running water and let them thaw naturally.
2. Soak the dried seaweed in lukewarm water to rehydrate it.
3. Once the seaweed is rehydrated, use kitchen scissors to cut it into bite-sized pieces.
4. In a pot, add the cut seaweed, sesame oil, garlic, and 1 tablespoon of fish sauce,
then stir-fry everything together. Make sure to stir-fry well to season the seaweed for
better flavor.
5. Add water to the stir-fried seaweed and bring it to a boil.
6. Once the soup starts boiling, add the thawed oysters, remaining fish sauce,
and soy sauce. Let it simmer for a little longer if you prefer a stronger flavor from
the oysters.
7. Finally, taste the soup and adjust the seasoning with salt as needed.
