š„£Ā Ingredients (2 servings)
300g pork belly, sliced
2 bowls of cooked rice
2 eggs
Green onions, chopped
Sesame seeds
Cooking oil
š§ØSauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sugar or honey
1 tbsp mirin or water
1 tsp minced garlic
Ā Black pepper
š©āš³ How to Make It
1ļøā£ Heat a pan over medium heat with a little oil.
Cook the pork belly until golden and crispy on both sides.
Transfer to paper towels to remove excess fat.
2ļøā£ In the same pan, remove excess oil.
Add soy sauce, sugar (or honey), mirin, garlic, and pepper.
Simmer on low heat until slightly thickened.
3ļøā£ Add the pork belly back into the pan and coat evenly with the sauce.
4ļøā£ Fry the eggs sunny-side up or over-easy.
5ļøā£ Assemble the bowl with rice, pork belly, and a fried egg.
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
